Sustainability in Fashion and Creative Industries MA

I completed my Master's in Sustainability in Fashion and Creative Industries at AMD Berlin, an experience that profoundly shaped my approach to responsible design and the business of fashion. The program explored everything from sustainable design concepts to circular supply chain management, equipping me with a strategic view on ethics, sustainability, and innovation within the industry.

In the first semester, I dove into topics like business ethics, sustainable design, and the role of fashion in society, while gaining insight into sustainable digital transformation and circular supply chain management. The second semester continued with courses in responsible product development, sustainable branding, and leadership psychology—essential skills for navigating the evolving fashion landscape. My final semesters included a deep dive into sustainable entrepreneurship and culminated in my thesis, Bling Fatigue: Conceptualizing Emotionally Responsible Fashion Brand Foundations, which explored how to build emotionally healthy relationships between consumers and designers within start-up fashion brands.

This program gave me a toolkit for blending creativity with responsibility, allowing me to bring an innovative and compassionate perspective to my work in fashion. I feel a real sense of urgency for tackling the climate crisis, and I believe that as one of the most pollutive industries in the world, we in fashion must design with principles of sustainability in mind at all times.
